Ribes rubrum ‘Laxton’s No. 1’ Laxton’s No. 1 is a hundred year old English variety known for high mildew resistance and delicious flavor. This late-blooming early-ripening currant produces long strigs of medium sized red berries making for easy picking for fresh eating, summer deserts, jams, pies and freezing. Widely grown throughout the UK it is a long time summer favorite.
USDA regulations prohibit shipping of Ribes species to the following states: DE, MA, ME, MI, NC, NH, RI, SC, VA, and WV.
