Horseradish
$10.00
This natural horseradish is a great companion for potatoes, breaks up clay soils and thrives almost anywhere so long as it has access to minimal moisture.
Perennial ground growing leafy plant makes a good border or edge plant around the outside of raised beds or wherever you don’t want encroaching grasses and weeds.
Dig up in early spring as soon as green shoots appear for division and transplanting or harvest of the roots, or in fall before a hard freeze.
These plants were potted up in Spring from a large mother plant for individual growth as nursery stock for the following year.
Zones 3 to 9, prefers full sun to partial shade, can handle dense clay, loam and sandy soils and very wet to almost drought conditions.
